Hey everyone, sorry to say this is not the "more exciting" update I hoped it would be last week - but it SHOULD segue into a better update next week!

I've mostly finished up writing the cutscenes being added in v0.36; it's not even that much cutscene, but a lot of it has implications for other aspects of the story, so I had a bit of writing block that was making it hard to figure all the details out. Luckily, I'm just about there now. Meanwhile, Orexius has been burning through BE animations at lightning speed, and I've been implementing those animations in-game as he completes them, so the BE rework is nearing completion a lot quicker than I expected. Most of the work is on Orexius's side, so huge shoutouts to him for working so hard on it! (And just as a reminder, he streams BE animation work almost every day at https://picarto.tv/TheOrexius, so go give him a follow if you're interested in watching that work in real time)

Aside from that, I've sent out a casting call for a voice actress for the new NPC, and as soon as all the scripts are fully finalized I'll be sending them out to all our actors so they have plenty of time to record. Then, we'll need a few basic animations for the new NPC, and the implementation of the cutscenes - which will luckily be the easy part, thanks to the rudimentary cutscene system I have set up. What I'm getting at is, I'm now quite certain that this cutscene and new NPC will be ready for the update! It's just a matter of how much additional polish we can add. Being vague about this stuff is annoying, but I s'pose that's my own fault for wanting to keep things a secret :p

Anyway, that's it from me for this update. Sorry again for it being a lame one, but I wanted to get this stuff finished right out of the gate, since it's the biggest part of this update and I wanted to make sure it got done this time. Needless to say I'm looking forward to doing something that's not writing and worldbuilding for a bit after this! I hope to get back to streaming with Orex soon, too, since the writing is almost done (for now).

As always, thank you guys so very much for your support, and for continuing to love Crisis Point! Your excitement and passion for the game keeps me going, and I can't wait to see where this game ends up.
