Hey everybody, I wanted to post a quick status update, because this week has noooot been great for me or CP:E. Just as a warning, it's very possible there might not be a weekly update on Sunday because of this.


For starters, I'm frustrated to say this but this update might be either delayed into January, or end up releasing unfinished - anyone on the Discord server knows this, but I've been unable to work for the past several days because of sudden wrist pain, and I've been resting my arm as much as possible to try and recover/stop it from getting worse. I've had similar wrist pain issues in the past that took care of themselves, but it took anywhere from a day or two to a week+ to resolve, and unfortunately I don't have the money to go see a doctor about it, so right now I'm just biding my time trying not to cause permanent health issues. I'm really sorry if this ends up delaying the update in any way; there's still a lot to be done before I can release it, so I have no clue how big of a delay this will cause, but I'll keep you all as updated as I can.

The other thing I wanted to tell you all ahead of time is that both of the CG reworks for the Tentacle and Scientist CGs are almost definitely not going to be finished this update. I'm not ready to go into details as to why just yet, but I'll have more information for you all as soon as I can - sorry for the vagueness.


I sincerely apologize if this update ends up missing the release date, it's such a big update I needed all the time I could get to develop it and this wrist issue is really throwing a wrench into things. Again, I'll keep you all updated as best I can - but the best way to get up-to-date information is in our Discord server, where I post updates slightly more often and you can chat with me/fellow patrons. Take care of yourself! Sorry to hear you've been stricken down by unexpected pain though!

If wrist pains are a returning thing, please do make sure to do some light exercises for your wrists as well as soft self-massages on regular after it gets better. (just a stress ball once every few hours can help immensely by using other muscles as well as the same muscles in other ways)

Thank you for the suggestions! When I say it's a recurring thing, I mean like.. once every year or so, hardly what you'd call regular, so I don't think it's something to be TOO worried about. That said, you're definitely right, and I'll see about finding some wrist exercises and maybe getting a stress ball.
