Weekly Progress Report + Community Recolor 1, underwear poll (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Things went pretty well this week, probably about on par with last week. I didn't get as much as I would've liked done, but I finally hit a major milestone: sending off the rewrite scripts to our VAs.

Like I've said, this rewrite is the last major hurdle before we can start working on new content. There's still some rewriting work to be done (the edits are only to the major cutscenes at the moment, minor mid-gameplay conversations still need updating), and of course all of the new stuff still has to be recorded and then actually implemented, which will be a ton of work for the rest of the team, but sending off the scripts was easily one of the most important milestones in that process.

With recording underway, the script is pretty much locked in, and pulling that trigger was honestly really difficult. I've been working on the rewrite for so long that calling it "done" and sending it off was somehow the hardest part of the process, with a heaping dose of anxiety, but now that it's done it feels like we're finally going to start making significant progress again.

Speaking of anxiety, some good news: I have two more appointments this week (specifically tomorrow and the day after), and I've been handling the appointment anxiety quite a bit better than last time. I still feel it, it still sucks, but it hasn't caused me to completely shut down yet, so that's a big improvement over last time already.

In any case, here's our updates from this week:

My goal for next week is to start working on those gameplay conversations, and editing them to match with the rest of the rewrite. Those conversations are much shorter and less involved, so it's hard to say exactly how long it'll take, but it should be a quicker process than the main scenes for sure. And of course, if any of our actors are done recording, I'll be working on editing voicelines and such as they come in.

With that done, on to the final part of the recolor poll! We're finally there! Let's see those recolor winners from last week:

So, here's how this is going to work: obviously, we're voting on something NSFW this time, so I can't post any images about it publicly, but I'm hoping that less provocative words won't flag anything, so we're going to try doing the first half of the poll in a public post like usual.

The second half of the poll posted later in the week, though, that'll have to be Patron-only, since images will be required. HOWEVER, in addition to that Patron-only post, we'll ALSO be posting the variant poll on our Discord server, and I'll be combining the final results together to determine the winners for that round. This technically means people who are in the server and pledging on patreon can vote twice, if they choose to vote in each one, but I figure it's still the fairest option; better than preventing non-patrons from voting at all, at least. In the future I'd like to find a better solution, either by moving everything about the votes to Discord or using an external polling site, but for now I think this'll work just fine. We'll revisit exactly how we handle the polls for the next one, which.. honestly we'll probably do pretty soon after the first one ends, it's been a lot of fun so far!
