Hey everyone, welcome to another weekly update! Things were a little better this week - my quantity of work still needs improving, but I managed to work more days this week than the last few, so I'm calling that a win. I'm going to make it a goal for this next week to do at least 1 thing for CPE every day, even if it's small, so we'll see how that affects my overall productivity!
I did manage to actually follow through on one stream this week too, so that's good. I'm not sure if we'll be doing regular/scheduled streams again, but I'll try to do them every once in a while at least.
In any case, here's what we got up to this week:
I'll show off the new Hoverjets functionality next time we do a big update post, but I'm already pretty happy with it compared to the old one. The controls might take some getting used to, since it shares the same button as Dash when you're in the air (basically, tapping the button dashes, holding the button does a Hoverjets Boost), but I think the extra movement mechanics will be worth it and make platforming much more interesting.
Before we finish up, time for the next part of the recolor poll!
A stunning upset from the A recolors this week! After failing to bring a single victory home in the last poll, the A's have regrouped and sweeped the competition this week! For recolors 1 and 2 it was a landslide victory, but recolor 3 was INCREDIBLY tight, with jacket C coming painfully close to victory, but losing it by literally 1 vote. Congratulations to the winners! I dunno about you guys, but I'm having a lot of fun seeing these gradually coming together.
For this next poll, we're going to be tackling Alicia's skin color! Since skin color is a very different kind of thing than clothing or hair, we're going to use a different style of poll. There will be 2 categories for each recolor's skin: brightness, and color. Both are pretty self-explanatory, but the Brightness will of course determine how light or dark the skin is, and the Color will determine whether it's a normal human skin tone, or something more fantasy-oriented. Once the votes are tallied up, I'll combine the winning color and brightness together to get the color variants you'll vote for mid-week!
With all that said and done, thanks for reading everyone! Get your votes in, and we'll see you again in a few days with the next part of the poll!
