So since she's on the run from powerful people then she can't get a job so she has to be an adventurer and slowly build up money Her best bet would be to travel to some far off country to start a new life, but she'd need money to pull that off Maybe she runs into the person planning the heist, or they seek her out, and she agrees to the heist so she can make her getaway

So she'd be a skilled person who's also desperate and not in a position to turn down a job.
