Viktoriya, the kind (Patreon)

"Los! Los! Los!"? More like... "Toes! Toes! Toes!"

Here's Viktoriya Ivanovna (as an adult) along with a cameo from Tanya Degurechaff (Also as an adult), both from Youjo Senki (also known as Saga of Tanya the evil) an anime I enjoyed greatly mostly because of the main character, the setting and the aesthetic (I love me some WW1 Aesthetics)

So, the story behind this pic is interesting... I was casually reading a horror story about world war one and decided to research 'Trench foot' which is something that a lot of soldier had to deal with, and ended up stumbling on this:

Then I saw this paragraph:  "Trench foot can be prevented by keeping the feet clean, warm, and dry. It was also discovered in World War I that a key preventive measure was regular foot inspections; soldiers would be paired and each partner made responsible for the feet of the other, and they would generally apply whale oil to prevent trench foot. If left to their own devices, soldiers might neglect to take off their own boots and socks to dry their feet each day, but when it was made the responsibility of another, this became less likely. " (Whale oil is edible btw)

The scenario was perfect and I thought to myself... What involved WW1 and has cute girls in it? Youjo Senki came to mind immediately and I've been wanting to draw Viktoriya for a while. If you are wondering why Vik looks different here than she does in the anime well... She's an adult here, for starters. And I fused her looks from the anime, the visual novel and the manga a little since Manga Viktoriya is adorable and I never liked how in the anime she looks like a fish.
