Nice paper sounds and soothing voice but the chair and the sirens are a little disruptive

Anonymous

Please post it. I’m not going to say anymore here, but this needs to be heard. Thank you.

You seemed very busy-minded and a little bit lost(not in a way that it did smth to the purpose of the video).I hope you are okay.I personally liked it.It was like to see something that was hidden before

Anonymous

Of course you should post it. Jim, darling, as fantastic and impressive as all of your role plays are... the greatest character you will ever play is yourself. And it’s the very best thing you have to share with others. A video like this is not too serious, it’s just serious enough and if you don’t post it it may never find its way to someone who needs it. Sometimes people need hope and reassurance and encouragement far more than tingles and giggles and you certainly have those things to offer. And a lovely, genuine way of doing so. Post it, dear, please. ❤️

Anonymous

yes. please share this.

I like your message. I like that you talk about drawing instead of being specific because we each have our own weaknesses. I have to say that I like your character Joe because he frames the message on what is good or right with the toaster. You say we are perfect, and we don’t need an upgrade. I think that’s nice to hear.

Loved it. Can't wait to watch it again tonight with my earbuds (it's currently 2:52 p.m. here in Kentucky). The scratching sounds on the paper were great and even though you got a little serious at the end, it's a great message and one that I think a lot of people need to hear right now. And, like you said, it's nice to have some real Jim after all the rp vids lately. I'll *always* love these little chit-chatty glimpses into the real you. P.S. - "I can't draw"? Seriously? My level of expertise is stick people and those birds that look like flying M's lol. That was a beautiful drawing you made! And I had to give a little chuckle at your reaction to that police siren suddenly stopping - thought you were going to reference Matt there for a second haha. Much love from Kentucky! 😘😘😘

Personally, I had been hoping for a video just like this. Your roleplays are brilliant, but I also love it when it’s just you, chatting with us, ‘cause you always say the kindest things with a wry twist. I don’t mind the chair and sirens; I like it when stuff like that happens in your videos and you just roll with it. It inspires me to try not to freeze up when life doesn’t go the way I expect or plan. So that’s a long way of saying: yes! Please post it!

Anonymous

Important message and I don’t think serious is bad. As wonderful as your role plays are, it’s always nice to see “just” you, too. Y’kow? Siren was a wee bit loud but I think you should publish this.

Anonymous

I think it's perfect just the way it is. I think you should post it. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Anonymous

I really like it.. As much as I'm in awe of your role plays , I too, really like just seeing /hearing you as you.

Anonymous

I can't tell you how much I needed this video. Thank you, Jim. <3

This was beautifully done. The siren bit was funny and not too distracting but your pencil does get very loud at one point, I’m not sure if you can edit that so it’s not so loud but even if you can’t you should post it. There’s not enough light in the world and this video is something I wish I could have seen in a very dark time in my life. I might have made some different choices.

Anonymous

It’s wonderful! Your voice, your message and the sounds 💜

Anonymous

I honestly didn’t mind the creaking and the sirens, I liked the scratching sounds. I think the metaphor was a bit jumbled but that made it very honest if that makes sense? I dig it, if you post it it’s probably a video I would rewatch when I feel shitty

Anonymous

How did drawing a hand turn into me legit bawling my eyes out? You’re a darling Jim please post this, a lot of your viewers really need to see this video. I read news article yesterday about young people really struggling with mental health during our current situation. I think most people are having tough time right now. This is a gentle reminder we have friends (some we’ve never met), that they are there for us no matter what and that no one is truly alone. 😊❤️❤️ (fee at the palace😊)

This was great. A beautiful message and the drawing sounds were excellent.

This is helpful. Thanks, Jim.

Jaye (or Gigi)

This was very sweet!! I actually liked the chair noises and the lack of total silence added to the intimacy of the video. You felt very open and sincere and it was heartfelt. I think you should post it.

Anonymous

Definitely post this! It has an even amount of funny bits and serious bits; it's like a conversation with a friend. Using the drawing as a metaphor is an excellent way to segue into the main topic. Also, writing sounds are one of my favorite triggers. BTW, you can SO draw! I gasped when you crossed your drawing out. I took many art classes and never reached that level! Anyways, you have my vote to post!

Please post this, I can’t tell you how much this means to me right now, and I’m sure lots of other people. I love to see the real you, it shows we’re all not so chipper all the time and that’s ok. Much love to you, and I’m so glad I found you all the way from Indiana❤️❤️❤️

I was thinking the other day that while I really love your role plays, I really miss seeing you, the real you, having you hang out with us. From reading everyone else’s comments I think we’re all in synch here. This is a very important message that needs to be said. People are suffering all types of trauma from the pandemic - from domestic abuse to financial difficulties - and may feel there is no way out. I think this video will touch people more than you know.

Anonymous

Yes! A beautifully done piece of loving care. I liked the funny bits, and the the noisy bits. For example, the joke about the sirens was funny. The squeaking chair, though loud but not jarring, was in everyday context and you gave an interesting explanation for it. Everyone will love the pencil sounds. I liked everything technical (lighting, focus, sound). The message - Your way with the drawing, then the destruction was thoughtful, easy to understand. It is a hurting time for all of us and many may not have the coping skills to get through it. You gave a solid way to do so and why we should. It’s Jim being real and caring. This video is one I would watch many times.

One hundred percent yes please post this! For as much as I adore your role plays I truly feel this is the type of video that can deeply touch people in a profound way. It truly is a rare and wonderful thing to see an artist such as yourself using your brilliant talent to comfort others. We need it so much in our lives right now. It is no small thing to become vulnerable and show the world glimpses of you just being you. It makes me adore you even more. ❤️🥰

Anonymous

I think you should release it. If your message can touch even one person, it would be worth while. I know it touched my heart ❤️ I love your “one on one” videos. I hope you are doing well.

Anonymous

Lovely message, please publish! And thank you for being serious. It's not a flaw.

Anonymous

I'd say follow your gut instinct, Jim. I'm a firm believer in the "everything happens for a reason" thing. Maybe the video took a serious turn because someone out there needs to hear it. You have a sort of magic about you that enables you to connect to a lot of different people. Maybe hearing it from you will make all the difference.

Anonymous

A sweet video and a great message that so many would benefit from hearing. Your role plays are amazing but it's really nice to see Jim again.

Anonymous

My friend that introduced me to Jim echoed a similar sentiment the other day, she basically said that she misses Jim being Jim!

Anonymous

This video is great! It has a beautiful message and I think it will help a lot of people💕

Anonymous

Definitely worth posting. :)

Anonymous

As others have said, it's worth posting. Beautiful message <3

Well, that was sooo Zen it was the peace a lot of people need right now, a soft spoken explanation to let people know they aren't alone and can have help if they need it.....I thoroughly believe there are people born into this world not as strong as others and these are the ones that need the help and prayers the most, please post! (I loved the little break in the silence of the sirens and squeaks....those things keep us grounded in the now) :)

Well done!

What a deeply affecting video, that can be interpreted in many ways, and those of us who have walked similar paths...we feel you, Jim. This one has shades of your protection spell video which I treasure, and a little of Lupin. It feels very grounding, coming after so many great RPs, to center back to something so real right now, in a really difficult time. You have a way of transmitting your self and such genuineness through this medium, to the point where I feel like I’m in the room with you and having a moment of real connection. My attention is held rapt the entire time you’re on screen--what is it, charisma, magnetism, vulnerability, humility, an aura? Or are us viewers recognizing another human being on our wavelength? Whatever it is, you’re exceptional at projecting it. I didn’t even need the breathing segment, because your presence in this video was enough for me to feel completely connected well before that point. Like your Remus Lupin vid, your sage advice here gives the irreparable action nonjudgmental respect and affirms the person experiencing it, and offers realistic and helpful advice in a way a person in that situation would be receptive to...it’s not that the person is wrong, it’s just considering a “second opinion, just in case.” I love that. You’ve allowed for such scope for what we can interpret the irreparable actions to be, from someone stifling creative endeavors due to a lack of self-esteem, or severely damaging a relationship, all the way to self harm and even suicide...because of that, I really think this video needs more in the description and/or title, sort of like your Lupin video did, alluding to the serious nature of the content, and maybe suggested resources...because this isn’t just encouraging and affirming, this one goes deeper. Sort of how at the end, you were resisting letting yourself marinate in the discomfort and clearly wanting to go back to tomfoolery mode (;D), what you’ve created here needs a little more serious adornment, me thinks. Jim, you teared up at one point? Hope you are OK and getting your own support, for whatever brought that about. On a lighter note, because of your authentic vibe, I’ve grown fond of the environmental noises that disrupt your videos and don’t mind them much :). Some of the sounds were much louder than others, particularly the drawing sounds which got pretty grating at one point. And you need to get your peepers checked because your hand drawing was excellent, like wth! Thank you, thank you for this one, Jim. (Cassiopeia). *I'll edit this and post on YT as well :D*

I always love seeing your comments, both on here and on YT!

Thank you, Jim. I needed that.

1-yes! Please post it! It was soothing listening to your voice and the drawing, and the message was so kindly and aptly stated. There are lots of people who could benefit from that right now. 2- It is ALWAYS lovely too see you as yourself. You are gentle, kind, wise, funny, and easy on the eyes 😘. 3- Sshhhh! You promised you would never mention the bodies! Time to change my hair color....again. 4-“the chair” ok, Jim. 🙄 Take Beano now and there’ll be no gas later. (🤣 I think we own the same chair. Mine is so loud! Antique). 5-I love you to bits! 🥰❤️💋

..../Please/ oh please oh please post this video.

Morning, the new video is lovely, I think a lot of people will need to hear that message during these times 🙂 The police siren made me laugh and it made me think how often they are perfectly timed in some of your videos like the first Russian gangster one, that I'm like did he add that sound effect in or is this a coincidence? haha

Anonymous

I think is a good idea to post it. You never know when or why someone may need to hear those words. Is an important message. My own mental health is being slowly decaying for the first time in my life this year, and is really difficult to deal with dark thoughts when you have never done it before. A message like this one, even if it doesn't prompt a conversation with someone else, helps to have a conversation with ourselves, to rethink the things our head tells us, to store those words for the worst momentos. So yeah, even if it's a bit serious, it never hurts to spread this kind of affirmations, they do help.

This went from being a relaxing video, to a touching one, to a very important one. ‘Doing something because you’re alone’ hit me square in the chest. A lot of people are alone right now, a lot of people might feel desperate, or their brains are getting the better of them. You have this great way of touching on heavier, darker issues, like self harm, with subtlety and gentleness; people who have or are dealing with that will recognize what you’re saying, but you don’t dwell too deeply or directly on it in a way that might cause fear or anxiety. And then you eased the tone back down with some breathing to calm everyone down. Let this one fly, there are people who need to hear it. I did :)

I really enjoyed this one.

Hey this is one I rewatch every few days. I get why you maybe were hesitant but honestly your empathy is a beautiful and rare thing. Thank you for posting this.
