I tried drawing the background before the character for the first time since I always lose motivation to draw a nice background once I'm finished with the character. I was always intimidated to draw Azur Lane fanart since water is so hard to draw and paint, but I decided to give it a try. Helena is my favorite character in Azur Lane (for obvious reasons).
