Hello Greatest Hits Patrons!

It's time for a new vote, and a new format for picking our next episode.

By now you should probably know that the winner of episode four's vote, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, has been amalgamated into a larger Crystal Dynamics documentary series which we have already shot some 11 interviews for. Expect those in the coming months.

Sorry it took so long to confirm and get episode 5 rolling - we didn't want to create a situation where our already stretched team had multiple episodes of this series rolling along without much progress. Now that the LoK/CD project is well underway it feels like a good time to get voting on episode 5.

However - we are going to modify the selection process for this episode.

In episodes past we've had a suggestion post and a poll. The winner of that poll was ultimately the game we covered. This time around we're going to put a lot more games into the poll based on today's suggestions, and choose the top three. These three games will go toe-to-toe in a live production meeting where we will discuss and make an informed decision on the focus of the next episode.

SUGGESTION POST - Today (July 9th)
PATRON POLL - Sunday (July 10th)
PRODUCTION MEETING - Noon (Pacific) Monday (July 11th)

Basically it should make for a more interesting involvement for the production team. We know this tier hasn't had much for the past few months. We've got a lot coming for you guys, including alpha testing on a game we're working on soon.

How do suggestions work again?

The comments section of this post is open for suggestions. Over the next 24 hours we encourage you to post games you'd like episode five to cover, upvote other people's suggestions and reply to them in the comments.
After 24 hours we will take a look at the comments and collect the most popular & interesting suggestions. This will build the poll which will determine the three finalists we'll discuss in our production meeting. You'll get a link to that poll on Sunday and a link to the production meeting on Monday.

What can I suggest? Are there rules?

  • Suggest a game, studio, or person in the comments below.
  • Previously voted on / suggested games that did not win, are allowed.
  • Feel free to bandwagon on other suggestions. Vote them up! Cheer them on!
  • Ensure suggestions are "classic". We're thinking games from 15+ years ago.
  • Try not to suggest a massive studio or series we may struggle to fit into the runtime.
  • Classic can mean good, or infamous. Be creative!

Thanks folks, we're excited to get this episode up and running. I'm excited to hear what you suggest!

Danny
