[NEW DOC!] Loop Hero Developers Reveal the Design Origins of their Breakthrough Hit (Patreon)

Hey Patrons,

I'm very excited to get this out in the world as it's been a lot of fun shepherding the project these past few months. When Loop Hero took the world by storm earlier this year we were inundated with requests to cover the game. Given that the developers are Russian this required a little bit of planning and a lot of translation work which is why it's taken a bit of time to get it out.

But one of the most exciting things about this production was that Jeremy not only took the lead on editing, but has also stepped in front of the camera on Noclip for the very first time. Jeremy hosts this video with stand-ups he recorded himself, voice over he wrote himself, and a script that cleverly riffs off of the game's looping theme. He also captured all the gameplay because he's played way more of that game than any of us!

He did an awesome job and him taking on the bulk of the work helped me give the project a bit more TLC with post production. We also couldn't have done any of this without Volha Kapitonava's live interpretation during the interview, and expert translating during the captioning process.

It's been a lot of work so we hope you enjoy this look into the design of a particularly unique video game. Let us know what you think in the comments!
