Hey Patrons,

It's been a crazy week over here, with hitting 6k Patrons, getting the new camera and more, so expect a big Patron Update show on all that week (for sure I'm filming some of it on the new camera).

In the meantime here's one for the video producers. This month's episode of Edit Club focuses on tackling a large project as I dive into the edit of our massive Arkane Studios documentary we recorded last year. Why now? Because with out increased budget I was able to hand off another edit to Jeremy and go back to focus on getting our Dishonored doc finished.

Sorry the audio is a tad raspy, the main recording broke but I had a backup recording. There's loads of neat behind-the-scenes bits in here so I hope you enjoy it.

Let me know if you have any questions, I love following up!

Danny

Tackling a Large Project like Arkane | Noclip Edit Club

Okay, let's look at something a bit bigger. The Arkane documentary was the most recent large multi-studio doc we filmed and tackling an edit this size is a totally different creative challenge. Loving Edit Club, it's really interesting to peek behind the scenes and understand how you approach each edit, and the amount of work involved in piecing it all together. The audio work/tweaks on the Tim Shaffer interview was bonkers!

Nice video, the bits about editing the interviews in French were very interesting. I'm curious about the technical workflow for you and Jeremy to work on the same doc. Since the video files are so large and require relatively high disk IO (even more so with 4K soon!), I'd love to know what that setup is like. Cheers!
