Hey folks,

All credit to Jeremy for editing this wonderful interview with Steven Kick of Nightdive Studios about the strange story of his team's reboot of System Shock. I know we've a lot of immersive sim fans on here so it was great to get to talk about this project as we look forward to the return of SHODAN.

Let us know what you think!

Yea sorry the post has been updated - I'm having to re-render to fix an error. New version will be up shortly. Sorry!

What was the error, as I caught it as it went live? Unless it was a factual error it seemed fine to me. Very interesting as well 👍

Great video, I had not realized how many IPs that Nightdive was involved with re-releasing games from. I've seen the name around for a long time but just never think about who is involved on those kinds of projects. KS'ed System Shock myself and I actually have never played the original more than 10 min because I just couldn't get into it. I love old games but the gameplay mechanics just threw me immediately in a way that few games ever have. I took the KS campaign as the opportunity to experience the essence of the game without having to suffer the initial learning curve of mechanics that are extinct.

That was noice. Also, No One Lives Forever baby.

hah - I spelled his name wrong in the lower third. Couldn't let it stand!
