Hey Patrons!

This has been years in the planning but we've finally started our weekly podcast. The next few episodes are going to be in a transition period of sorts as we prepare the studio, nail down the format and then get some fun guests on - so this episode focuses on all the projects we're working on, and some of our plans for the coming month. 

In light of this new production, I wanted to do a little Q&A to get you all up to speed;

Will you be filming them in the future?
Yes, once we get the podcast studio set up (in a month or so) we're going to start filming them too. We already have a distinct YouTube channel for the podcast, so you can subscribe/listen over here;  https://www.youtube.com/noclippodcast 

What's my Patron Bonus?
Every month we're going to release a special patron-only podcast episode for folks in the $5 tier and up. These may be interviews, film reviews, episode we record on the road - it's a lucky dip! We have loads of fun ideas for these. The first bonus episode will be up at the end of this month but it may also come earlier in other months. As such the "Patron RSS Feed" is now going to only contain the bonus episodes from this point on, so feel free to subscribe to the public feed if you don't already. There will be no regularly scheduled public podcast the weeks that the patron-only podcast goes up. This is to both reward our community for their support and make it so we have some wiggle room production-wise while on the road. Weekly podcasts can be tricky!

What type of guests are you going to get on?
Developers, media folks, influencers, friends, strangers - you name it. Folks who love games with interesting stories to tell. We've got some great ones lined up already for November. If you've got suggestions we'd love to hear them.

Hey, I was just wondering if you could add the audio on here as well like with the previous ones? That way I could just download them and play them locally on my phone without having to go through some other service or platform. Would greatly appreciate it!

Yeah, It’s certainly an option but with us building a library of patron-only episodes it makes more sense in my eyes to not duplicate the entire feed. We do it this way for shift+F1 and it’s really effective. Especially as there is zero difference in the regular eps (no ads on either feed). Subscribing to the public feed should only take a few seconds on whatever service - and the RSS feed plugs into anything just like the Patreon one. We’ll be branding it flighty differently so it’s clear on your player which feed is the bonus stuff.

I’d like it if some of these episodes could be reviews of recent games. I get that you are coming from a development side and there are lots of others that already do this. However, lots of us on here, like to hear your thoughts. Death Stranding would be a nice one in the coming weeks. Any plans for this?

Yea we're still figuring out the format but new games we're playing will certainly be part of it. We'll definitely chat a bit about Death Stranding once it's out.
