The Noclip Report / October 2019 (Patreon)
Content
Welcome to the NoClip Report our monthly breakdown of everything that we did last month and what to expect as a patron and fan next month. (this one is a bumper edition featuring two months of updates. See how I spun us not updating last month into a positive thing?). Update compiled by Frank, written by Danny.
Oh boy, where to start.
The past two months have been intense in the best of ways. PAX West was an absolute blast and as you can see from the images above, we had a lot of fun meeting patrons and chatting to devs. We filmed our doc on the ESRB, flew to Pittsburgh to film some more with The AbleGamers Charity, and then I moved all the way back to Oakland where the Noclip mission first started three years ago. I've just come out of a near three-week period of no internet so apologies for the lack of videos. We're back rolling from today.
So, what's next? Well, a lot. We're currently sitting on quite a large number of edits which is why getting Jeremy on the post-production team is going to help so much. We've also nearly nailed down our studio here in the east bay and have lined up some exciting guests for our new weekly podcast. In the meantime, Jeremy & I will be starting the feed with just the two of us, explaining what's going on, talking about the work, the games we're planning and so on. So make sure you're subscribed.
October is basically our month to get the ducks in a row. With the new studio and more involved team, we're going to be scheduling stuff a lot more. Not just the podcast, but our live streams, and the docs themselves. The plan is to transition from a crew that goes silent for a month and then pops up with 2 hour-long docs, to a channel that always has something fun and new for you to watch/listen to. Like I've mentioned before we're going to be doing more of the stuff I did before I left to go to Maryland; let's plays, the opinion show, live streams with friends - and publishing some of these on my personal channel. It's an investment of time, funding and energy but I'm really excited to do it with the help of Jeremy and Frank. A patron tier refresh is coming too, so look out for that.
So for those of you who love the docs - hang tight, we have some great projects on the way this month. From long docs to short videos. And for those who miss The Point, O'Carina or hearing me on a podcast - expect some fun stuff this month too.
If you have any questions let me know. I'm so bloody excited to be back here and so excited about the new Noclip we're building. The best has yet to come.
Talk soon,
Danny
