Hey Patrons!

I know some of you have been waiting for this one for a long time so I'm delighted to finally get it out. Bonus Level (Noclip's op-ed show) has returned with an episode about how I fell in love with Bloodborne during my paternity leave.

This is one of the many early access perks for all you $5 patrons. I hope you enjoy the show!

Nice! As someone who has almost bought Bloodborne a few times, I’m very excited to check this out. (I know, I know, the game is cheap now. It’s more about what video games get my limited time these days)

Dan Parsons

Excellent! As I think I tweeted you a few weeks back, I also played Bloodborne (Albeit not or the first time) recently with my firstborn(e) asleep on me. Excellent video - I hope this is not as close as we get to a FromSoft doc but if it is, thank you!

Awesome. Always excited when there is a new video up. Congrats on reaching 25k! Love your work.

It's so great to hear you say that "souls" game aren't hard, but just different. It's literally what I have been saying for years.

Gabriel Costa (Hired Sword)

From Software is such a great company, I used to love the AC games back in the day too and now they constantly put out some of my favorite games with the Souls series. Sad to hear they basically turned down an opportunity to a Doc with you guys, here's hoping they change their minds down the road.

I loved Bloodborne and got the "best ending" though my main issue with the game is the lore. It's somewhat a little too deep and there's almost no real way of getting the full story with either playing 5 times or reading a wiki online from people that have come together and created the bible on it. Which i guess IS the point of the story is to create that community but for me it took away from the overall package. I did love the game play outside of the instances where you could flinch from a hit mid-animation and the enemy does not- but its still apart of a genre creating company so i applaud them. I also applaud you for continuing on with creating these great videos. Keep it up, Danny.

I think Bloodborne is a good game, but I'll never finish it. I beat Father Gascoigne on my first try, not because I'm good, but because I was level 20+ when I fought him. I was level 20 something because I had no idea where to go or what to do. I played a for a bit after that and just stopped. PSA 1 - If you have a bad sense of direction, don't play this game. PSA 2 - Never trust any one when they try to tell you that "souls" games aren't hard, they just have a very twisted idea of what hard means.

Wow! Every documentary/video on NoClip just perfectly captures the essence of why we play video games! Loved it! I bought bloodborne when I had my first kid too, just never got to it coz I though it it might be too "difficult" or "stressful". But Danny convinced me , and Bloodborne is next!

Awesome Bonus Level, Danny. Also, I’m digging that hoodie. Will it make it to the store soon?

noclip

Thanks! Working on it - the quality wasn't up to scratch on our demo versions so working on some new ones now.

Loved this Bonus Level. Finally had a chance to catch up to my outstanding Noclip content! I wish From Software would work with you, but at the same time I can see how “mystery” is their thing so we might never get to see how the sausage is made, so to speak.
