The Tinkering (Patreon)

I'm getting ready for a big day today and making breakfast, prepping models. Yup, I'm prepping models while my food cooks, never a wasted moment. 

As I'm doing this I'm checking out the new podcast, 32, from the creators of 28 Mag. I chose to start with an episode featuring Trent from Miscast. It's a good episode but one thing is standing out for me. Trent referred to kitbashing like remixing in electronic music. Taking something and modifying to make a new and different creation. 

I tinker away on projects and lately, a lot of experiments, which will be showing up in future tutorials. Not every Sketch becomes a finished painting and not every model has to be completed.  Sometimes you practice your instrument before sitting to write a song.

Today, I want to encourage you to experiment. Take up what calls to you, enjoy it for a time, and come back if it feels right. Do what calls to you. What you really love, and in that you will create your best. No project to large or small, just ask yourself if you're having fun.
