Hey Sam! The cloaks looks awesome and the paints have me intrigued. Just look a bit too satin for my taste, but I have to see them in my own hands. You are always asking for honest feedback from your patrons, so I hope the following is okay, it's all well intended and just my personal opinion. I miss the days when a video like this was 20 minutes long and you were just narrating while you were painting. It felt more like really watching you paint and learning at a slow pace and in a detailed way. In the recent past more of your videos have been shorter and narrated afterwards. I understand that shorter, faster paced videos work better for YouTube, but I always loved that I got something different here, something to learn from rather be entertained. Which brings me to the split screen. I think it's awesome for B-roll and just looks super cool, but for a lesson I find it really hard to follow. I have stopped videos a couple of times and rewinded to watch a part a second time to watch the other half of the video. I really want to see you paint and learn from you, not just watch a nice video. I fully understand why this type of video works/performs better on YouTube, it might even be easier/faster to produce, but I've always loved to get something a bit more different and long form here on Patreon. I just wanted to give my honest feedback, I felt like I owe that to you. I really hope that doesn't come across as too negative. I still love your work, love the videos and will continue to support you of course. Unchained!

I smiled the whole time I read this :) Thank you as always, Martin. This is exactly what I want to hear. Patreon is my top priority. After the last Adepticon I felt like I had shared enough of the slower paced videos now could share what to do once those earlier lessons sank in. I started to look at the years ahead and the number of videos made and decided to switch it up. It also allows me to get projects done faster for myself. In the past I would pace them out in small series and have the same model in front of me for weeks, it felt like a bottleneck in my output. I wanted to capture everything on video, everything haha. So I would be waiting and waiting. I've felt like a comment like this would be coming and greatly appreciate it. You've been supporting me for a long time and always encouraging. Did you notice the audio? ;) So maybe the conclusion is both? That gives me variety and also I can make deep dive videos along side the current style. Once might say, Unchained! I want to keep evolving in my art and everything that contributes to it.
