Every piece is an experiment. In this video I'm trying my hand at value sketching, or grisaille as it is sometimes known. It's a fun approach to first create a monochromatic project and the carefully tint it afterwards. It has a certain artistic look to it that I appreciate and can also be used as a time saving technique, some say. Enjoy!

Colors used:
From P3, Hearthfire, Khador Red Base, Sanguine Base, and Underbelly Blue.
From Vallejo, Black, White, and Buff.

Thanks Sam! Thrilled to see this come together in such few steps. For this method not really being your “forte” I sure love the Sam Lenz grisaille. Especially the use of 💪 over white 😁. Really stoked to employ your method man! 😛

Haha, using the muscled arm in place of the word buff is some top tier text! Thanks so much, Brent! I'd like to experiment with this more in the future, we'll see what releases inspire that. Unchained!

It is great to be back watching the Professor work his craft. You always do a wonderful job demonstrating your skills and show how we can have fun while learning. Keep up the most excellent work.
