So many cool things to remember; forehead sides, hair is brighter than black trench coats, a reminder to listen to my Black Sheep album. The lesson of using actual light to map things is always a good one. One thing I would not have expected was the hard lower line of light around the neck. (Above the collar bone area, but below the chin and ear.) If I was trying to do this I would have mistakenly faded into that line with the mid tones. But after practicing on my hand, you are right. It's a hard white line.

Haha, glad you're enjoying the paintworks! I'm going to use more real life references after this project. I always think of how I can paint what I'm seeing but searching specific examples before colorizing has been fun and informative.

Enthusiasm is sometimes difficult to express over the internet. Seeing two distinctly different light sources on a model is definitely interesting. Awesome work! That might have been the first time I’ve heard a double chin referred to as a buttchin. Haha
