In this video we're diving in waist deep, see what I did there? The conjuring of souls that he is appearing from is a really cool feature of this model and it also gives us some interesting opportunities. I chose to go for an internal glow on this one, like fire but in a spectral blue.

Feel free to ask questions and leave feedback! Have a great weekend!

Hey Sam nicely put together video, just right. Can I ask about the bright turquoise in the crevices / eye sockets - only just came across this idea with necrons. Do you do much of a colour gradient in there or is it arresting enough just to splash the bright colour in the recesses and leave it at that? Maybe you edited it out but you didn’t dwell on those areas. (I’m pretty beginnerish as you can tell).

Hey Tom! You're right, those recessed areas hold the paint in nicely, just be sure not to lay too much in at one time. If there is too much water involved it will dry and look wrong, create some kind of tide marks and such. I wanted those areas to appear as a pure glow so I didn't gradiate much in those areas, just a little inkwash to define the outer recesses. Hope that helps!

Spirit magic! It's so pretty you almost forget they are tortured souls trapped in a death portal. I keep saying I need to try out inks and never do.
