Now that we've talked about blending, washes, and edge higlights, it's time to wrap them all together and lay down some OSL. Not quite beginner material but it's nothing we haven't learned yet, don't be afraid to fail, learning is built on mistakes. Enjoy!

OSL is definitely is one of the more intimidating advanced techniques for me. I've attempted it once with mediocre results. As we move along here sometime in the future I wouldn't mind seeing more in depth vids tackling this subject. For me as well i think it also helps to have some sort of photo reference. Cool! I just noticed you listed the colors you used as well. I rarely pay attention to color choices (unless someones using a color I really like)but it's nice that they are listed.

Yeah the colors don't matter so much, but I include them for the people who want. No harm done :) I attached a picture of the previous model I did in this way to show the finished result. I still have one more video to shoot on the model in the video so I delayed taking pictures. OSL will definitely come up when I get into full project videos so we'll talk about it again :)

Video was great, and definitely "digestible"! Excited to try the technique again, as I often find my OSL attempts have turned out chalky or "mustard-y". Was thinking, would love to see a 180° - 360° closeup of the area where the technique was applied. Might be a nice way to see an end result after the outro? All told tough, keep up the great work!

Thanks Ben! I like the 360 view as well, I'm still finding my form with the videos. I'm happy to say I have one in the cue where we have a 360 shot :) I'll be finishing off the legionaire this week and starting a new series jam packed with explosions and 360's. Well, it will be an evolution at least and I appreciate your encouragement and support. Cheers!
