I'd say Equestria's technology can't be equated to any of the historical human ages, since ponies have bits of XXth century tech (say, cameras that make color photos) coexisting with ancient cultures (say, the Aztec ponies of the Fortress of Talacon). Different cities appear to be at different tech levels, but even then there are anomalies like... we're not even sure if ponies use electricity. They do have lamps, including floodlights. There was a dam that might have been a power plant. And some ponies have fancy laboratories (Twilight's basement, where she experimented on Pinkie Pie, as well as Dr Whoove's lab where Derpy was playing). They also have arcade games (the scene with Button Mash). And Maneiac had a giant hairdryer ;) But all of that could have been powered by magic. Or a combination of magic and electricity. My interpretation is that we have a few reasons why technological progress for ponies differs from humans: 1. Most ponies are satisfied with their life and see no reason for change, so new technologies don't spread quickly. 2. Some ponies have a special talent for invention and are much better at it than the best human inventors. They can create inventions centuries, even millenia ahead of their time. 3. Magic competes with non-magic technology, but at the same time enables magitech, complicating things. This leads to technological progress to be centered around the areas where inventors live or lived, and it might mean that cities dominated by unicorns (say, Canterlot) might be advanced in magic but not in non-magical tech, while other cities dominated by earth ponies have more non-magical tech, and then there are pegasi cities that have advanced cloud-based technology. I bet the pony-equivalent of sillicon valley will be in a pegasus city xD ... anyway, alicorns combining the tech of all pony races and taking it up to eleven sounds about right, so... your picture seems plausible in the near future. _________ TL;DR: Ponies are awesome, and so are you!
