Dear Admiral(s), Yellow tape: Color of tape chosen to match parts of participants' uniforms. Double layer applied, reconsider triple or quadruple layer for Takao in future trials. Note to self: consider tape colors as rankings for performance...at this point, both ship girls wouldn't receive a bronze. Silver tape: Reconsider wraparound tape gag for Takao during next trial (date undisclosed), given her energy levels. Tried to lighten mood w/ a "silence is golden, duct tape is silver" joke, only resulted in muffled threats from Takao. I've included a five-minute recording of it for future reference, punishment for her insubordination to be considered later (specifically non-imprisonment). Also: Atago insisted, before being gagged, that the duct tape used was in fact gunmetal grey. Several. Times. OTN gag: (sounds of heavy thuds against a hard surface, as well as muffled shrieking while Takao can be heard swearing at the top of her lungs; her voice suddenly cuts off before switching to a series of moaning squeaks, after which audio cuts out) OTM gag: So the bandit mask gag was a complete failure, but of course leave it to Shipkin to ignore that for the sake of "hostage scenario variety." I am almost 90% sure he made that up on the spot while securing the girls' cloth gags over their noses. Takao, as usual, very uncooperative (tried to bite me), and Atago kept nudging me w/ her forehead. No gag: Sworn at by Takao for a full ten minutes, but Shipkin insisted that they not be regagged for now. Important to analyze their verbal reactions (or lack thereof) to latest hostage scenario, will send notes taken for further reference. Also: please reconsider possible alternative candidates for later trials, I'll be sending personal preferences in a separate message. This comment makes me feel as if the girls were my property. It feels very good. I feel like I'm gagging them and decorating them to my taste. Takao's behavior is especially cute. I always hope that when the damsels are tied up, they will not succumb to the situation. I want her to rebel all the time. That makes me burn more. One of the purposes of this exercise would be to prepare the ship girls for the possibility of ending up as "captive cargo": prisoners who, used as bargaining chips, are essentially exchanged as property between captors. In my fanfic version of Azur Lane, this would be such a big problem as to warrant commanders to train their ship girls to prepare for such scenarios...as well as how to escape. Of course Takao would heavily reject being seen as property, constantly mouthing off and fighting against every restraint that's tested on her. Atago would be the one who ends up helping her learn to cool down at times, if not to relax than at least to regather her strength between struggles. It would get to the point that Shipkin tries tying them up separately, to see how they cope and whether Takao still pushes herself to try breaking free (she does). As for decorations, Dr. Hedashi isn't above writing "grades" on either girl's tape gag, as well as smiles or grins when she thinks Takao is in a particularly bad mood. A doctor w/ a sense of humor, she always tries to lift the spirits of both "captives" (although Takao buys none of it, while Atago is a bit more receptive).
