Patchnotes VR_Ferals v0.13.N14

New Nightly Build 14 features

  • Added a Voxel based render engine to VR_Ferals. Providing real time global illumination and ambient occlusion. The current shaders are not fine-tuned and some of the materials can look a bit odd. It is currently also not possible to switch the engine off, which will probably lowers the performance for some users.
  • Added and FPS counter that can be toggled on/off with pressing “G”. This feature is available in the main menu, gallery and courtyard scene.
  • Added a button to toggle the FPS view in the gallery. This also works in VR mode.
  • Added a button to the gallery to show the current pressed keys. This is very useful while in VR mode.
  • Integrated the Basic Courtyard Unity Scene for tech testing and light setups to VR_Ferals. This scene was used in the SEGI demo and is a nice example of the capabilities of the real time GI engine.


Recently added nightly build features

  • Added the male and the female Felkin to VR_Ferals. (No pose mode for the Felkin now. Adding a rig will come in a later version!)
  • Reworked some parts of the head to look more like a Felkin.
  • Added a tongue to the Felkin.
  • Added the male and the female Shunamir to VR_Ferals. (No pose mode for the Shuna now. Adding a rig will come in a later version!)
  • Added a UV-Map and base textures to the male and female Felkin.
  • Added control buttons to the main menu to change the quality settings. This should be a huge improvement for users with slower machines. :)
  • Added dynamic camera scrolling to the gallery. The closer you are to the model the smoother the camera gets.
  • Added iterative buttons for the pose mode. Select a bone and then hold left mouse button while hovering over the key buttons.
  • Added a new UIStyle for BoneInfo UI.
  • Added the UIButtonHold class.
  • Added some attributes for the BoneInfo class to
  • Fixed a bug where the reticle had the wrong size.
  • Reworked the whole model sub menu of the gallery. The selection info is now in bottom since it is better to have the interaction in the middle of the screen for easier use in VR mode.
  • Added some fancy model select icons to get a visual impression of the feral you are selecting.
  • Added a “Key” icon in the gallery UI to show the buttons that are pressed. This is very useful for VR mode.
  • Fixed a bug with model selection
  • Fixed the font of some lables and buttons


Known Issues:

  • No official HTCVive support yet. (Thanks to a hint from a supporter: You can try Revive to get it working with the HTCVive. I cannot guarantee that it works and will not take responsibility for damage caused by third person tools but it seems like its working fine with it )
  • In VR Mode: To pose you need to move your head AND you mouse while left mouse button is clicked. This will be fixed soon!
  • It is not possible to save the poses yet.
  • It is not possible to click on the rotation gizmos for posing yet.
  • Toy physics are ridiculously bugged since they are forced to a fixed position.
