Features:

  • The dev-island for FeralIsland was added to the game. The island has a rough size of 4x4 km and can be explored as rainbow and other female felkin. You can walk by pressing W,A,S,D while the camera is following in third person. You can reset the dev-island by pressing R.

    The island currently contains a western forest and a beach biome.
  • Added a new selection screen for the dev-island that allows selecting all female Felkin. (Male Felkin selection is currently only available in nightly_builds but will be added to the next stable build in june).
  • Added Felkin NPCs to the dev-island that automatically walk around on the island. (There is no interaction yet).
  • Added a creature view for the selection menu of the dev island. You now see the creature you are selecting.
  • Added a different variety of loading screens to all scenes. Including some loading bars to represent how long it takes until the scene is loaded.
  • Added asynchronous asset loading on scene transition. This will overall increase scene loading times when the scene was loaded before.
  • Migrated parts of the old animation system to the new improved rig. This was a time consuming process and required some of the animations to be updated to the new rig.
  • Added a new class to allow new custom body slots for unique creatures.
  • Animations in the gallery now persist after the gender is changed.
  • Added an improved environmental weather system that replaces the lighting and day / night cycles in the gallery, courtyard and the dev-island.
  • Added improved volumetric fog and clouds to the gallery and the hunt dev-sandbox.
  • Toy rotation is now inherited based on the hand rotation.
  • Added improved haptics. The force of the haptic feedback now changes depending of the speed of your controller movements. This value is capped and works with the Oculus, Vive and steamVR HMDs. A slight rumble was added when you jiggle your feral with your VR controllers.
  • Added a new CreatureData class that takes care of all creature properties in the scene including excitement, selected creature, gender and many more properties.
  • Added a lot of "behind the scene" classes and functions that allow creature spawning and building.

Changes:

  • Improved gallery turntable controls for hovering and rotating to be more smoothly.
  • Improved walking animations.
  • Improved the camera post-processing effects for the dev-island.
  • Lowered the specular highlighting of tree and leaf materials on the dev-island.
  • Better creature ground fitting.
  • Increased the factor in which excitement is accumulated. Its no three times quicker.
  • Removed the "Analogue stick pressed" action from the oculus rift controller key maps, because this caused some confusion in the gallery, leading to the camera jumping around when the analogue stick was accidentally pressed.
  • Updated procedural tail and spine physics for a more natural behavior.
  • Slightly lowered the density of the grass in the dev-island for an overall performance increase.
  • Improved the way the tails behave in the gallery, to let them look more like tails and less like flags.
  • Updated the text of the disclaimer to better represent the latest additions to the game.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed a bug in which toys selected on VR mode where out of vision for Oculus users.
  • Fixed a bug in which the scale and position was displayed incorrectly when the UI was grabbed the first time in VR mode for Oculus and Vive users.
  • Fixed a bug in the gallery in which the sheathed penis of a Felkin was a bit "floaty".
  • Fixed a bug in which colliders for Oculus controllers did not work properly, leading to haptics not working as intended.
  • Fixed a bug in which the wrong unique Felkin texture was spawned in the selection.
  • Fixed a bug in which the butt-stretch slider in the gallery was not working properly.
  • Fixed a bug in which the dry humping feature was not working properly when clicked on the toggle button. (Keep in mind your Felkin needs at least 5% excitement to start dry humping)
  • Fixed a bug in which the selected creature was not swapped when loading dev-island.
  • Fixed a bug in which gallery Felkin would not load.
  • Fixed a bug in which the tail and the testicles of a Felkin in the courtyard scene where not attached to the body. Poor floofer.
  • Corrected a typo in the kennels dev-sandbox
