No one told me to watch this series. I had never heard of it before. I saw a 8.5 mal rating and just put it on. I was instantly turned off by magical girl type tone. Idk how i couldnt see how serious the show was in episode 1. The girly feel and light heartedness blinded my ability to notice a good series. Needless to say I was shallow AF in my opinion. Luckily one day i came back to the series cuz i wanted to see phos melt which was epic and by episode 5 or 6 i was like wait, this shows fire and restarted it lol. I gave it like a 7.5 or 8 in my head after first watch thru, but i knew alot went right over my head and when i rewatched it i felt like i reconnected with my love of anime. Like when i watched series like yuyu, kenshin, samurai x, dbz, one piece, elfen leid, naruto, gunslinger girl, read or die that kind of stuff from around 20 years ago. Champloo, case closed you name it i saw it lol

Honestly, it's amazing how much one show can change your perspective on the type of things that you like and want to see in a show, simply because you weren't aware that it would appeal to you so much or simply because of the fact that the show is that good! I honestly can't wait to finish the show and to give my thoughts on it all because it would be bad for me to give my thoughts now as if they are final but as for now I am loving the show and the tone it has been setting thus far! It's crazy to see how much this anime resonated with you! Honestly, i'd also recommend Studio Orange' other work they did last year which is Beastars, which again may seem weird from the get-go but get past all that and you'll see a wonderfully fleshed out world and depth to characters which many anime fail to achieve! :) But as for this show, I'm loving every moment of it and the only bad thing as of right now is the fact that there are only 4 episodes left! :(

Oh i watched beastars as it came out. I was already aboard the studio orange train by then lol. Everything is great excluding harus titties which still haunt me
