I really enjoyed John Wolfe's video on mascot horror and it's great to hear your thoughts and I look forward to a video on it. I've completely bounced off mascot horror as a genre, bar My Friendly Neighbour which looks great and I will defend Baldi's Basic with my life, but the sheer vitriolic discourse that surrounds it makes me roll my eyes. Especially when its getting to the level of death threats. All I'm going to say is that none of the people involved in this discourse would have survived the Jeff the Killer/Creepypasta dating simulator era ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The shit abt making art and being scared of negative discourse taking over is real as fuck, I’ve gotten over it but I’m working on a video series and that shit has been on my mind near constantly, it makes it SO much harder to just focus on the actual art.

For me, it doesn’t help that I already get a ton of critiques in my college art classes so the thought of making a horror project and getting a fuck ton of criticisms along with every school project I make getting critiqued every week scares me away. I’m already burnt out as is.
