So, when I was going through and redesigning my characters, I decided that it might be a pretty cool thing to do if I take an old image of them from long ago and re-do it using my current skills and their new design. I figured it'd be a simple challenge and in some ways it was, in others it was actually somewhat daunting. What do I show and what do I keep. Do I expand on X or expand on Y?....

Either way I needed a place to start, so I started with Yasmin, since her design was more recently remade and, frankly, she's a personal favorite of both mine and many others! She's one of the oldest characters so I figured I may as well start with her. I drew the original image 5 years and 5 months ago, and honestly I didn't think it would show THIS hard... but without a doubt, yeah, 5 years makes a hell of a lot of difference. When I made this originally I thought of it like it was a slam dunk in concept... and I was right, my execution just wasn't up to par then.

It is now... and I'm really proud of that. If you wanna see the original post you can check it out here!
