It's been a while since you've heard the flapping of his wings. You miss him so much, what could sending a simple text lead to? Wait, who just knocked on the balcony door? A familiar "Ayo" is accompanied by the sound of wings. It's Hawks! He greets you telling you he got the night off. You ever wanted to fly little birdie? I have a surprise for you, hang on tight!

This is Part 2 to the previous Hawks Audio!

This has nothing to do with the majority of the audio, it is literally only about the last line because it has been itching in my brain since I first heard it. Okay, so the term Netflix and Chill is a more recent euphemism for sex that is distinct to the 21st century. I don't know it's precise origins, but it's sometime within the last decade or so. As different activities and slang terms come about, the term will fall out of use and be largely forgotten. Which brings me to it's use in the actual audio. The phrase is only referenced with the words "I also have Netflix," which anyone familiar with the phrase would understand is the speaker (Hawks, in this case) either indicating he is fine with the encounter turning sexual or outright asking for the interaction to become sexual. The interesting part to me is that anyone from the time period of the phrase's origins will understand what Hawks is trying to say and imply, giving a sexual undertone to the ending of the audio through implication. But fast forward a century or so and no one is going to understand that line. They're going to sit there confused because "What is Netflix? Why is some random streaming service important to the context of this audio?" And that is so amazing to me! The idea that four words, when the listener is aware of the euphemism they reference are able to convey a spicy undertone, but anyone later hearing the same words and not knowing that euphemism is going to be completely confused as to why the mention of Netflix is supposed to be provocative (as indicated by Hawks' tone). This has been itching in my brain for MONTHS and I needed to get it out. Thank you for reading my almost entirely unrelated rant. I hope you have a good day

I’ll never know if he canonically has a girlfriend or not. Whether if he is available or taken, he is still hella hot. …poetry 😅
