HAA Progress! Wowowow! (Patreon)

Man, Human Alteration App is hugely overwhelming to work on! I wanted to pop in and say that while I'm getting it done, it's tough. The game's larger and more complex, oftentimes when I find a bug there's two or three things breaking something so it's tough to pin things down. This leads me down crazy rabbit holes like this one:

Before I talk about more bugs for hours, I've already finished the sub route content for v1.3:

It was surprisingly smooth to write, although I wonder how different my current style is from the stuff I wrote almost four years ago (holy moly)! I have it up on HAA's test server making sure it's good and lewd.

Aside from that I redid the wardrobe in the dom route, it's a very minor thing since people requested I return the body mods from the older versions back to the game, so you can increase your breast and butt size. It's cosmetic and only affects the logbook descriptions, but I think self-customization is a neat area to explore. With the sub route having a more defined narrative, the dom route is kinda carving out its own place as a sandbox game so I'm trying to focus on that element as much as possible.

I wanna release v1.3 before the end of the month, not just so I can eat, but also because I'd definitely like engagement, suggestions, and requests. While the sub route is "on-rails" so to speak, the dom route's content doesn't really align with my own fetish tastes, and without the nature of HU's image sets to lay a foundation it's hard to really settle on ideas. Absolute power gives crazy decision paralysis!

For v1.3, the top priority is the vegetarian mode, which will change Gina's corruption scene and cut out the bits with Kendra's husband in her scenes, but will basically entail a huge rewrite of Riley! Her reveal scene, her sex scenes, and her ending all have to change dramatically.

I added toggle buttons! These are all that's planned for v1.3, if I manage to squeeze in more I will, maybe a new cafe scene or two.

Playing HAA again, I noticed the game feels clunkier than I remember. Hopefully when you guys give the game another playthrough we can compile all the strange errors and I can work through all of them. Each HU character is entirely separate, but a lot of HAA interacts with other systems and things get crazy fast, so most of the month has been trying to get things to behave and get all my ideas organized (and make sure they're feasible of course).

I posted about it back in 2021, but the roadmap is a little different now and that old one is out of date as I've already added a bunch of features on it. Human Alteration App's biggest difference from Hentai University (aside from it being two games in one) is that HAA has an end-point. I intend to finish HAA with a version 2.0, giving me 7 more HAA releases to try and do everything I could possibly want. Here are the major areas I'll be focusing on:

- Bodytype differences

Outside of customizing smaller details like your booty, there are three main bodytypes. The masculine body, the femboy body, and the dickgirl body. As the first choice made in the game, I want this to do more and make that sandbox game vibe feel even better!

There are already some scene differences though, so I'm not totally sure what could change. Adding scenes of girls femdom topping you if you're a femboy? Rewrite scenes to have a heavier emphasis on worship for non femboy scenes? What do you think?

- Clothes

To align with the wardrobe changes, I also wanted to add back in the clothing options from previous versions, but engine spaghetti is making that harder that it has to be. In the future I want to add in a first-time-wearing scene for new clothes, especially lewd ones, where you enjoy wearing the new outfit, that way they feel more valuable. You put on the bodypaint outfit and go for a walk on the town, for example, or make Lisa wear it and parade her around with nothing but paint to cover her bits.

- The Bully

HAA's dom route had kind of a revenge motif which justified some of the  player's actions, I'd like to take that a little further by having a  character who's purpose is that same humiliation focus Kendra had. A  bully the same age as you who you alter on the bus ride home is a great  way to do that.

- Avery the camboi

(This character would have a vegetarian option as well, replacing them with a camgirl)

Altering someone over the internet! Getting it into their head that the latest fad is actually anal masturbation! Wooooo~!

But seriously Katya from Anomaly Vault was me dipping my toes in what I've realized is solid gold. More of that. You could decide their schedule at night, then tune in to see them air their latest stream live! And then get banned off twitch for copyrighted music!

- Exotic shop expansion and new candies

With the new engine I added the option to alter the shopkeepers at night, which I like in theory, but as for actually coming up with what you could do with them? I got nothing. Adrianna is a lot more aware of the app's changes than others, so I could have her react when you enter the store, saying things like "Yo wtf why'd you erase my clothes?" And I also have a bunch of ideas for more candies. One that induces short-term  masochism, a temporary dick-growth one, the purpose of candies overall  is to ensure the player is cool with a niche subject, that way I can  write about it without worrying about alienating players. Hopefully Bitch Medicenter shows I have a lot of very niche ideas worth fleshing out.

- Random encounters

The game's general gameplay loop is you make changes to someone, then observe those changes in a lewd scene. Adding random scenes to home and school would help solidify you're having an impact on the world. The current morning routine becomes a little bland over time. I'd like  to implement morning events to spice things up at higher Lisa & Jean  corruption levels, especially since most people probably corrupt them first.

- Other new characters

While I like in theory the idea of adding new routes to existing characters, I like new characters more. Short, one-run characters would be a neat way to do content requests! I could finally offer something directly to my supporters!

On top of that, I was thinking about how HU's cast actually ended up being a lot more varied and interesting than HAA's cast. I think it would be cool to transplant some of them into HAA. With a different, more blunt protagonist armed with the human alteration app many routes would be very different! If this is something you'd like to see, let me know! 

Human Alteration App Sub Route Content Plans

I'll say right away that unless I make some kind of massive breakthrough with AI, sub route content is definitely more constrained. I don't want to reuse tons of images if possible, so I'm pretty set in stone for what directions the sub route can expand in. Still, I enjoy writing it, and it's definitely refreshing to be able to switch between dom and sub content compared to the all dom all the time HU.

- Porn Rework

The dom route has the camboi/camgirl to buff up the porn of the laptop, but for the sub route I'll take a different direction.

Basically, a big flesh out of the scene when you try to watch porn in the sub route into a new character with some fun scenes to pass the time. It'd be a fun way to pass an empty night where everyone's already corrupted.

- The Bully 

This new character wouldn't be a dom-route exclusive. Experience the joy  of watching as Jean finds a new target to mess with the same way she  messes with you: With copious amounts of teasing and bodily alteration.

- Jean's day out

A lot of people who talk about the sub route wish -they- were the ones doing all these dick-growth shenanigans. Well, in this theoretical short excursion, you can! You'd play as Jean as she goes to a convention transforming the place into a modern paradise! Well, a paradise for her, but hopefully you too.

As you can see, the sub route's idea pool is smaller, but the scenes will definitely be larger. Hopefully that's a fair trade-off?
