Wow, that rabbit hole went so much deeper than I expected. "I'll just find a github alternative and publish the page, couple hours, easy" I thought. What a fool I was...

I first turned to gitgud.io, which meant I had to learn enough of Git to get the project working. After a couple of hours with my slow upload speeds I have the entire index up on gitgud...

But when it actually came to publishing the page, I spent days trying and failing. "Put everything in a public folder", some instructions read, and because it's git I can't just move the index into a folder and call it a day, all I can figure out how to do is essentially delete the entire index and upload it again inside a public folder, which then proceeds to not work...

I try working with just Hentai University, I try following guides exactly, nothing. So I turn to gitlab instead, which also has a no-porn policy so it's a temporary solution at best. I upload the entire index, I follow all the guides, and STILL NOTHING AAAAAGHGHHTH

So I copy an example project off gitlab and publish it, success! The placeholder page is working! Now I copy the project to gitgud.io and it fails, of course... It's the same code, why isn't it working?!

Days have passed and my mind is fraying. I go to cloudflare, failure. I upload the site directly to netlify, multiple hours of processing just to give vague error messages and I need to refresh the page and start over. Heroku won't even let me make an account! Heading back to gitlab, even though the test site works uploading my index fails, saying the data artifacts are too large. I google it, people say just change the settings, but the options they're talking about don't exist!

So, ultimately, I've opted to use neocities. I had to fix a ton of things that broke because neocities doesn't allow for spaces in folders and filenames. Rainy dayz is the only game that really broke tho.

This one's really hard to keep up-to-date, has a 100gig per month bandwith cap, and as it's on gitlab it'll probably get banned eventually, so neocities is the better option for yall. Aside from that there's also Mopoga: https://mopoga.com/hentai-university

I didn't upload the game there but as far as I know the game's code isn't editted and the creator seems nice.

And Xeee on the discord is currently working on hosting the index directly on their own personal server, but cloudflare's giving them issues. 

With all that done, I'll be uploading university v28 after I sleep and test more. I haven't finished the fiend but the new housewife (who has a dick) and cryptogreek's sarah walker are done, so I'll probably release as-is and keep working on abba into February.
