Moving cloud background, step by step (Patreon)

Hi! Here is a floaty cloudy background from the most recent shot, at various stages of completion so you can see how it came together.

The second step here, labelled "ball nightmare" is a pretty drastic change from the first step, and that's because my MODULAR CLOUD SYSTEM is being reused from Throat Notes, so I already made all the balls (and I made a video for that at the time).
The only reason step one isn't ALSO a ball nightmare is because my computer couldn't actually play it back, and I needed to swap it out with something smaller while I figured out where they should go.

There's way more cloud stuff in this film than Throat Notes, so it's good to be getting more mileage out of the effect. My flat 2-dimensional brain also usually defaults to everything being viewed from one angle like a little stage, which I almost did with this shot, but I'm happy that I actually took an opportunity to get inside the clouds and move around before I ran out of film to try it.
