Hello internet family!!! I've been experimenting with some good old plasticine..

Having a top-down camera already set up to shoot paper animation, I've been excited to use it for this particular style of stop-motion, where everything is flat on a table so nothing actually needs to support it's own weight. Some of my absolute favourite animations are made this way but I've never had a chance to try it myself, and it took a few very disastrous attempts before arriving at this cheeky flower!

I'm planning on doing a little bit more with the flower- like a background, sound, some more compositing, etc, just for the thrill of seeing what a completed scene in this style could look like. So you might see this again quite soon very slightly differently, but after a week of fumbled amateur clay mashing, I was very excited to show you my first little success now that it's started to come together!
