Look what I found while deleting stuff of my computer!

I didn't document a whole lot of behind-the-scenes stuff like this for my films before starting Patreon. But I must have briefly entertained the idea while working on Double King, because I apparently screen-recorded the making of the royal caterpillars! This is the only thing I recorded though, hence "briefly".

This timelapse shows me designing the characters, and building the puppets along the way. I go through several different face designs for the retiring king character, and evidently I didn't quite finish building them in this video, because the incoming queen ends up with very different eyes to the version in the film. You also see me start animating, and battling with the logistics of the king getting the crown off his head with his tiny arms.

The music in the video is Voiles by Debussy- a section of this played during the caterpillar scene of DK, but it's just a public domain recording, not me playing, so I couldn't put it in the official soundtrack. In the film, I was originally planning on using a different Debussy song- "La cathédrale engloutie" (The Underwater Cathedral), which thematically is perfect for the scene- but when I got the recording I also got Voiles, and begrudgingly had to admit that it matched up way better.

This gave me ASMR for some reason. Kudos.

So what's the vocal part when the king bequeaths his crown? Is that you?
