The rat is back (in a drain pipe) (Patreon)

This may just look like your typical "pipe rat" to a casual observer, but this moment is actually pretty significant to me. Because these rats, who are the main characters, haven't been on screen in their own film for a little while. I haven't drawn a rat in ages!

This rat reappearance also marks the end of a long shot, at the end of a long sequence, that I guess you could call the "prologue"? The prologue is basically done!

A prologue that included 53 different animated characters, and had 2D, 3D, and photo cutout animation happening all at once.

I'm pretty sure 51 of those characters will now never be seen again and the rats take centre stage from here on in. That sounds a lot easier to draw than everything else that's happened so far, so I'm looking forward to it! For now please enjoy this pipe rat.
