Nanowrimo 2021 Day 28 - Word Count and Favorite Bit (Patreon)

Yesterday I added 1157 words to Seek the Oasis, bringing my total word count to 46,747!

“I hope you do not mind the modification,” Leonidas said. “This will simply be more convenient. I do not always have hands with which to carry a shield, after all.”

The smith gaped for a moment before throwing his hands up in the air. “Nope! Nope, that’s fine! Just use magic to turn a shield into some bracers. It’s not like that would take me hours, if not days. Nope, doesn’t bother me one bit.”

“Apologies, Fenli,” Dola said, hiding a small smile behind her hand.

“If it helps, your craftsmanship is remarkable,” Leonidas said apologetically. “These would not turned out nearly as well if the original material had not been impeccable.”

“Alright, alright. Don’t coddle me,” Fenli grumbled.
