Today I added 1191 words to Match.God, bringing my Final Total Word Count to 56,742!

“This is a miracle,” Lamia murmured, leaning heavily against Star. She almost sounded like she didn’t believe it.

“It is indeed a miracle!” Love said excitedly, pulling the attention back to her. “Oh, this is a sign that I am on the right track! Ah! I must continue my quest. There are many more siblings in need of companionship, and many more mortals who are keen on being matched thanks to you, my darling clients. Ah! I must go prepare to gather more clients!”

She bounded towards the door without a second to lose. “Ta ta, my dear siblings, my darling clients! Do have a wonderful holiday. When next we meet you’ll have more delightful little mortals to guide through the wonders of being matched!”

And with that, she was gone. Ha-yun shook her head with a laugh, settling back against Death. She stared into her mug, watching the milky liquid swirl lazily. She mused on the past few months, taking in the strangeness of it all.

“What are you thinking about, Ha-yun?” Death asked quietly, his lips pressed against her temple.

“Nothing much,” she said. “Just how happy I am to be where I am.”

“I, too, am happy you are here,” Death said. “I love you, Ha-yun.”

How strange it was, indeed, to be loved by the Moon. By Spring. By Death. And to love them in turn. Yes, it was love that Ha-yun felt, though it took her far longer to notice. It did not burn as hot as Vanessa’s love for Thunder, nor did it spark as quickly as Lindiwe’s love for Spring. But it did not need to. This love was a warm, comforting feeling.

And it was hers.
