It's been a long time since Paul Yellovich and I got to sit down and record an actual episode of our horror movie podcast. I'm happy to say that we finally have a new episode ready, which will be available for listening tomorrow. As usual, the podcast is basically two old friends talking about, um, horror movies. We try to do a deep dive, we aren't experts, but we are enthusiastic and enjoy getting folks to check out a movie we like. Or a movie we dislike. Because those can be enjoyable, too, for good or bad.

Our original plan for episode #18 was to discuss three found footage films we like that we felt also had some things in common (besides not sucking) -- Lake Mungo (2008, AU), The Borderlands (aka Final Prayer, 2013, UK) and Butterfly Kisses (2018). During the discussion of Lake Mungo Paul realized we were spending a lot of time going in depth on it, and that trying to cram all three movies into one episode was probably going to hamper how we approached each film . So he proposed we expand the one episode into three episodes, each concentrating on a single movie. Which was fine by me. We ended up doing a marathon recording session that lasted over 10 hours. I sure as hell hope we weren't too out of it by the last episode, because I don't know if I was making a lick of sense, especially after we scrapped an hour of our discussion of Butterfly Kisses because our initial approach led us in circles (much like the film itself). We'll see how it all goes when Paul gets down to editing it.

In the meantime, Paul finished editing episode #18 a few days ago, I finished the episode cartoon today, and he's working on the show notes for tomorrow's upload.

Thanks to everyone who has listened to the podcast, we should have episode #19 ready for Halloween, if all goes well. I hope everyone has a fun Halloween season. And thanks to everyone still with me here for October.
