In a nutshell, I stumbled on the ending of this movie as a kid on WOR channel 9, and it scared the shit out of me. years later I finally got up the nerve to watch the entire thing. And it still scared me. I've watched it several times since, it's a favorite horror mix of Lovecraft, "Who Goes There?", Hammer Films, zombie movies, black comedy, model train sets and Telly Savalas doing whatever the fuck he feels like while he's onscreen. Full recommendation.
