Some of you might know that we've taken in a stray cat and my weekend has not been going as planned. My new studio mate is being ridiculous, she's super needy and affectionate and it's adorable but I'm getting very little work done because this is the only room we can use to keep our cat Nutmeg out of (old house, with doors that won't stay shut). I plan to bring the Pirate Girl cat to a vet on Monday.

The little stray cat wasn't supposed to come inside, we were making plans to rescue her while she's been sheltering in our garage (which cats can also get in easily, don't ask). But the Pirate ran into the house when Sarah took some garbage out around 1 a.m or so, and that was that. Our teenager made the decision that we should foster her and see how things go, so now we're renting to own. Fashioned a litter box, and put food and water in the office and am staying in with her so she doesn't freak out.

I'm tired but pretty happy things ended up this way. She's a sweetheart and super mellow. Hopefully she doesn't have anything horrifically wrong with her, health-wise, and that Nutmeg will accept her without too much incident. Fingers crossed.

Even if it doesn't work out, I'm certain she'll get taken in by someone else, people have asked about her, including two friends. We weren't planning on taking her. The main thing is the cat finds a home, and she's safe and secure, and it looks like that's going to happen.

Episode 15 of the Tear Them Apart podcast will likely be posted on Monday, Hopefully the cat will let me color the cartoon for then.
