18 minutes, this is one of the longest video on our channel, and it still feels like it barely scratched the surface. Maybe in the future, we can do an encore and take a look at his singing career and his other film roles, as well.

Hopefully, this video is a good introduction for Leslie to those of you who are unfamiliar, and a good overview of Hong Kong's LGBT cinema for those of you who know of his legacy. Cheers!

Hey, long time fan and I wanted to make a quick LGBT note (given the nature of the episode it seems important). Around 2:55, you describe Cheung's character as not being transgender - but "legit think[ing] he's a biological woman." I don't think you intended to, but this is an anti-trans framing. Trans women are biological women - they're women and they're alive. TERFs and others will try and talk about "biology" in a way that excludes trans people, but really just mixes up what biology means in a harmful way. The prefixes "cis-" and "trans-" capture what you were talking about: "Cheung's character legit thinks he's a cis woman." I also understand the demands of editing and scripting a video and attending to all the various audiences, but I think if you google around about "biological women" and TERFs and such you'll see the kinds of nasty waters you're stepping into. Just wanted to let you know - love the video and love your work in general.

Thank you for the correction! I was aware of how the term has been weaponized against transgender individuals and should've been more careful with it. I have added a correction note to the pinned comment.

Daniel, if trans women were biological women then why would we need the word trans.. What would be the difference between between the two... And what does cis then mean? I am curious? Absolutely loved the video and thank you for putting up the list of movies at the end of the video. Is there anyway you could put it here too?
