I can't believe it, but the temperature reached as low as 1°C at night where I live. Summer really did come and go and I went outside like... Twice.

Did you have a productive summer? How are you doing at the moment?

ABOUT THE CHANNEL

  • So, this page has a goal that, I doubt anyone noticed. But if the total pledge amount reached $1000 per month, I'll start live-streaming... And it might just happen quicker than I thought.
  • Here's the thing, would you be interested in a chit-chat live stream, where we talk about random topics, once every two month or so?
  • Script for our next video about Thai horror is still in the work. I changed topic a couple of times, due to each idea snowballing out of control due to my own ambition.
  • At the end, I decided that most of our viewers and I are not knowledgeable about Thai cinema to do any in-depth analysis. So the next video will be a much simpler, film recommendation video. I have a few Thai horror films in the line up, so prepare your watchlist and read to make it longer.
  • Afterward, we'll have an episode about an Anime film that no one in the west ever talked about, as far as I can remember. And then, it's Godzilla time.

ABOUT MEDIA

  • I've been binging a bunch of Thai horror films lately, for obvious reasons, and it got me thinking. What are some of your favourite horror movie that no one talked about? We all know the classics like Ringu, or the cult classics like The Thing. But how about 2012's Korean horror anthology film: Horror Stories.
  • It's a film about a girl who got kidnapped by a serial killer, who then threaten to kill her, unless she tells him horror stories. These stories range from supernatural, to psychological, to zombie horror. It's not an amazing film or anything, but it's a very easy watch. Perfect for a relaxing night with some snacks by your side.
  • After the success of Mr. Vampire, Hong Kong flooded the market with a ton of Jiangshi films. Most of them are pretty terrible, but there is one I remember: Magic Cop
  • Fearing the same actor who plays Mr. Vampire himself. It's kinda like Man in Black, where a cop has to fight supernatural entities. I remember it having pretty kick ass action, decent comedy and a plot and flows fairly well. Compare to all the derivative Jiangshi films, this one has an identity of its own.
  • This one is famous to everyone who speaks Chinese, but are mostly unknown in the west: The Untold Story. It's a really screw up movie about a really screw up real serial killer. It's one of the most intense Hong Kong horror films to go mainstream. In fact, it won the Hong Kong Academy Award for best actor.
  • I supposed some of the best unknown horrors are already covered in our channel, like Kairo and Noroi. And if you are fan of this channel, you probably also heard about Audition. All of them are excellent horror films from the J-horror boom, but all of them with a different flavour.

Well, that's about all the relatively unknown horror I can think of at the moment. Do you have some to share? Any of them would you like to see being featured on our channel? Let us know.

In any case, I'll see you later this week in our new video.
