I got kinda tired of looking for image reactions to "agree with the post directly above mine," and then I remembered: 

"I'M A CARTOONIST AND ANIMATOR!"  
I'ma make my own!

The Rant: 

Back when I was on Facebook, I had a very interesting experience where a friend pointed out that if you put "The Crimson Fly" (the name of my SFW webcomic) into the gif reaction search bar, some of my old rough process gifs would appear. Fun bit of trivia, yeah? 

I decided to do a little bit with that idea and create a series of reaction gifs. After all, why not? And also, why bother spending so much time looking for the right animated gif to describe how I felt when I could just upload my own? Plus, it might help spread my brand around by having my friends use my gifs! 

Sadly, the idea went nowhere.

I made gifs for "This," "<3/heart/Love," "WTF?!", and "Both?", and no one on my friends list either used them, asked to use them, or even inquired about having custom ones made for them.

• I've been around a lot and art-ing a lot more than you may think, which is why I'm so good at doing what I do.
• If we've spoken in private and I seem really jaded about Abby/SaunterWing's chances of greater success, experiences like this are why. This was not an isolated occurrence.

Anywho, the itch to make more of these never went away, and it occurred to me that:

• Abby didn't have any reaction gifs
• I could always stand to update my art. Either simpler animations, or better designs.

So, in the process of making an updated SFW "^This" gif:

...I started thumbnailing an Abby version!

It was actually pretty, since its mostly two main poses, and some quick inbetween frames between them. 

As I'm pretty sure I've talked about in other posts, I'm trying to get better at symbol animations (basically, drawing each part of Abby's body separately), so I don't have to draw as many frames. You'll see that, for the "reading" portion, the only thing that really moves is Abby's hand. There's some subtle animation on everything else, but nothing that requires any re-drawing.  The other thing this allows me to do is some better overlap on specific elements so the animation feels more organic. Check out Abby's hair and boobs, and you'll see what I mean. 

The other thing puppet animation allows me to do is create alternate versions of specific assets, kinda like pallet swaps in video games. You'll see me do this frequently for "nude alternates," provided the clothed versions are relatively similar in proportion/design, and the clothes don't require an entirely different animation.

As for the arrow and "This" textbox, its mostly for exaggeration of clarity, so its very clear what Abby's reacting to. The Ellipses just maintain the consistency of the textbox.

To be honest, the static version works well enough on its own...

But the "..." pose also works really well as a "What the fudge am I reading?/I don't think that checks how you intended it to" as well...

Which is why I've included them as well. Feel free to use them wherever and whenever you want (though be aware that the nudes are patreon exclusives for a reason)! It would really make me feel good to know peeps are using my art casually.
