AbbyCapers (Early Access): Winter Wrap-up (pt. 1) - Ribbon Ropedown! (Patreon)
Content
Synopsis/Description:
Its winter and that means present time! That being said, you'd think Abby'd be a little more suspicious about random presents left on the ground. Especially after all the other times its been a trap!

The Rant:
It's winter time! And Abby is wrapped accordingly!
Timed/Annual/holiday-adjacent content is always fascinating because it both organizes and disrupts the normal structure of whatever your content is. This is less a problem for gag-a-day content, which can slot/insert content as needed, whereas more serialized content runs into the problem of the story being a life-or-death struggle in the middle of summer, only to break for a winter-wonderland tale of levity. You can imagine which one Abby and her misadventures fall into.
The other problem (as you can guess by the title) is how to stretch the idea of Abby (or some other character) receiving a bad-end 3x-4x over in the course of a month. Especially since, for this one, Abby's mostly going to be riding solo and Nabby is on break (or whatever it is she does when she's not chasing Abby) for a little bit, to rebuild her menace. As you can imagine, I've got plans, but there's a reason Abby's not a full-on, latex-encased mummy at the moment.
Also, you might have noticed that Abby's wardrobe has evolved slightly! Shoulderless sleeves, thigh-high stockings and a scarf! At first this was going to just be a winter thing for consistency's sake (sidebar, I hate the cold and everything associated with it, which is why I'm probably not going to do much ice-encasement peril this month), but the more I think about it, the more I like it as a permanent change. In my other works, I've been a stickler for the design principle of "form follows function," i.e. a character or object's visual aesthetic is determined by its role in the story. And not in a bullshit "its supernatural function justifies its BS subjective visual design" way. However, with Abby, I've always wanted to emphasize her assets because that's why she exists; a walking cliche of fetishes designed to fall victim to other fetishes and kinks. So she dresses the way she does to take advantage of what I gave her, and I've been reluctant to mess with that. If it ain't broke, don't fix, after all!
However, the new changes were designed to add some practicality to her design and highlight some of my other design fetishes, specifically uncovered shoulders (and the specific highlighting of said shoulders), and using thigh-high stockings to highlight the thighs and behind (Thanks Darkhatboy for introducing me to a particular fetish for Abby I never knew I had:)
I'm not entirely sold on the scarf, though. I like how it hides her nearly-non-existent-anyway neck, as well as both highlights her face and her boobs by separating them, but I'd be lying if I said it gives her an vibe of competence I don't think she should give off. Makes her look more like a rogue and a thief, as well as gives more contrast to her nude form when she is inevitably captured and stripped...
y'know? Having typed all that out, the scarf stays.
This, of course, means that Abby needs a new model sheet. She's been in need of one since becoming a color character, as well as a proper one for her furry forms, and of course, Nabby needs one. They'll probably all be both animated (to show off) and static (for actual practicality), but that's something for later.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments! Your feedback lets me know how I'm doing! Thank you for your continued support and patronage, and I'll catcha over yonder!
