AbbyCapers (WiP-Early Access): Sleepy Slip-up! (Patreon)

Abby sinks to a new low, but really what does one expect from our hapless halfling? At least this time she gets to enjoy it on her terms!

The Rant:

Despite the blurb and Abby's normal rules ("Abby never wins") this is actually a softer AbbyCaper than normal. Sure, she's stuck in those sheets and will eventually require some aid to get out of them, but obviously, there's no rush as evidenced by the ending, which I hope comes across clearly enough.

The premise comes from something I've accidentally done to myself a few times (and sometimes intentionally, with a creative enough imagination): getting tangled up in the sheets in such a fashion that it takes a little bit to get untangled, and let my imagination wander while doing so. Obviously not to the extent of Abby (i.e. gagging myelf with the sheets), but its a fun little imaginative exercise. I also wanted to take the time to explore the idea that Abby is kinky in her own way; she just rarely gets to express it on her own terms, due to how little agency she normally has. Here is one of those rare opportunities, and so she takes it and runs with it while no one is looking And yes, she's doing exactly what you think she's doing (check the tags if you don't know what I mean). She knows she's cute, has what she likes in other people, and, according to her darker impules, is that self-obsessed. Of course she'd have her way with herself!

As for her posing, I've never really been a fan of the "sleep sexy" aesthetic (unless the sleeper has been positioned that way). I think there's a certain kind of appeal in the "honesty" of someone splaying out across the entire bed. No, Abby doesn't have to "snore" or "drool," but I think they work for Abby; you learn more about a character by what they normally hide from the world than from what they intentionally present, and Abby is not very lady-like, no matter how she tries when she can.

Also, its been previously established that Abby sleeps in the nude when possible. 

 If you need an "in-story" reason, her cloth-wrap and cloth slippers are often her only clothing (since she gets captured/robbed too often to permanently own anything else) as such she doesn't own any nightwear or pajamas. Sure, she could sleep in them (and she often does, when on the road, for obvious reasons) but since she doesn't often have a chance to wash them, its not very comfortable (emotionally; think sleeping in your work clothes) while in bed. So when she does have to opportunity to sleep comfortably, she ditches them (and yes, this tends to bite her in the ass as often as you'd think).  

Also, no, this isn't her bed, since she's always on the run, and any sort of permanent/reoccurring home would be perpetually watched by bounty hunters.  Instead, Abby often cons her way into inns/hotels/lodging, spends the night (and getting others to pay her food tab), and then skips out in the morning, which has the peculiar effect of raising her various bounties and making her more attractive to the various ne'er-do-wells who'd seek to capture her. Assuming they don't just want her for themselves anyway.
