The Rant:

I think this turned out pretty well, once we locked down which design to use (Loka has had different designs over time). The big worry were the hands; you don't want them overpowering and covering her up, and on a more basic level, hands are hard to draw without having to pose them to interact with something, let alone seven of them  doing different things. I think they turned out all right, tho.

The thing I'm not so sold on is the hatching, specifically for the highlights and shines. I think it works well for the shadows, but not so much for the highlights, which probably would have been better served with solid shapes and lines. That being said, I wouldn't have figured that out if I hadn't done it here. Also, its a minor gripe on my part. I think both the client and I liked how it turned out. What do you think?
