Would you like fries with that? (Patreon)
Content
Howdy, wonderful people!
By popular demand, we have fries to go along with the burger and shake boxes! Yes, your delicious and nutritionally-questionable printed fast food meal will now be more satisfying, with the addition of some fried goodness.
This box differs from the others by having a lift-off lid rather than a threaded one, since this one isn't circular. If you want to, you can pop some magnets into the lid and base to hold it a bit more securely.
Also, you'll notice there's a stripe modelled into the container part of the model. This was originally intended as a good spot for a filament change to add some decoration, but I completely neglected to actually do that in my test printing! You should definitely do that, though.
Print Description
This is a regular mode print! Infill won't matter greatly and there'll be no harm in going for a lower percentage. Just make sure the fries have something to support them internally, though :)
Optional Magnets
If you decide to use magnets to hold the lid a bit more firmly, you'll need four 6mm x 3mm cylindrical magnets, the same ones that I usually use :)
Print Dimensions
The container part is 60mm x 99mm on the print bed and is 68mm tall.
Supports Needed?
Not at all! Designed for straightforward printing!
Scalability
This will happily scale, but the magnet holes will no longer be quite right for the 6x3mm standard ones. Also, the fit of the lid into the box will get looser or tighter with scaling up or down.
Print Orientation
Both parts print right-side up, like so:

Further Thoughts
I went through so many variations on fries before I got to this one! Some were too thick, some were too straight, some were too neat. There was a great deal of messing around with alternatives before finding a good level of disorder and bent-ness in the fries that really provided that fast food feeling!
Happy printing!
