There are two things here related specifically to printers, one which is fairly generic, and one quite specific.  But they're both related to printers so they get to share a post!

Clamp Spool Holder

Inspired by the Clamp Hook, this much larger version is intended to hold a spool of filament below a shelf!  Like the Clamp Hook before it this model incorporates a print-in-place clamping mechanism to attach it to a shelf.

It's oriented such that the spool will sit perpendicular to the edge of the shelf, and a little underneath.  There's a filament guide hole built into the lower clamping plate to keep the filament going where it's supposed to.

Bambu X1 Bucket - Vase Mode!

I know a bunch of you have Bambu X1 printers, and you'll no doubt have discovered that it dumps bits of filament out of a hole in the back on a regular basis.  There are plenty of existing designs for waste buckets, but this one is vase mode, inspired by the Semikilter Box (which I use for more manual waste disposal next to other printers!)

The design includes a curved corner for easy positioning of the bucket at the edge of the printer, and slots to incorporate 6x3mm cylindrical magnets that will stick to the back plate of the printer and keep the lightweight vase mode print securely in place.

Print Description

The Clamp Spool Holder is an articulated print so ensure your bottom layer is nice and neat and make sure there are no print issues like stringing and overextrusion that might bind moving parts together!  You probably want to use a decent amount of infill on this one, especially if you're prone to overtightening the clamp (but seriously, don't do that, it's plastic, you'll break it! Screw mechanisms have huge forces!)

The Bamu X1 Bucket is a vase mode print, so set your slicer accordingly!  Consider increasing your extrusion width for a little more sturdiness.

Supports Needed?

Not at all!  Designed for straightforward printing!

Scalability

The Clamp Spool Holder could be scaled a little either way without too much trouble, but it's currently sized for a standard 200mm diameter spool.

The Bambu X1 Bucket could be easily scaled, but it's probably not very useful to do that since it's sized to sit appropriately on the machine!

Print Orientation

The Clamp Spool Holder prints on its side, like so:

The Bambu X1 Bucket prints on a 45 degree angle so that the back of the box can be considerably higher than the front, and catch debris:

Love the Spool Holder - great work as always. I am actually looking for something similar that i can attach to a wall or cabiner. Im thinking sort of a like a curtain holder that holds a small rod that i can put sample spools on :)
