Howdy, wonderful people!

More vase mode, more textures and shapes.  Where the Zither Vase played with light and shadow, the Resplendence Vase is all about all the shine, all the time.  A showpiece for the gloriously glossy filaments we are lucky enough to have these days!

There's still texture aplenty in this one, but it's designed to just catch the light on different angles and make patterns out of highlights, making long sweeping lines and chains of bright dots.

Print Description

The Resplendence Vase is (wait for it...) a vase mode print!  So, set your slicer accordingly!

Print Dimensions

By default, the Resplendence Vase occupies 81mm x 81mm on the printer bed and is 170mm tall.

Supports Needed?

Not at all!  It's a vase mode print!

Scalability

The Resplendence Vase may be scaled easily up or down.

Print Orientation

As you'd expect, the Resplendence Vase prints on its base, like so:

Further Thoughts

It really doesn't seem like that long ago it was exciting just to find filament that was a slightly unconventional colour, and the idea of different finishes and characteristics would be some kind of crazy dream.

Now we have such amazing options and it really is creatively inspiring - that gold in the photos (Protopasta What Karat? Smooth Gold) got me thinking how I could make patterns out of highlights, and thus this vase was born!

Happy shiny, shiny printing!

xoxo

Sven.

It sounds like you might not be using vase mode! Depending on which slicer you're using, the mode might be called something like "spiralize outer contour" or "spiral vase". That mode will basically set the print to use 0% infill, a single outer shell, and no top layers!
