Strategist Vase (Patreon)
Content
Hey there, wonderful people!
Back to the magical world of vase mode printing! We have here a very robust, stoic looking vase that unintentionally reminds me of chess pieces, hence the name. It started out as a pair of vases twisting around each other but at some point they merged into a single twisty, ribby structure. It's funny how these things evolve!
The ribs achieve more than just a decorative purpose, though - they are instrumental in building strength, which is particularly useful for a vase that looks good in notorously-fragile silk filaments! You'll notice there are no horizontal cross-sections that are a simple curve - there are wiggly wobbly bits all the way from top to bottom.

Further Thoughts
I'm such a sucker for these multi-colour filaments! I had fully intended this one for printing in matte, solid colour filament but I fell in love with the shiny, shiny multicolour version the moment it appeared on the printer :)
I wonder how it would look in a nice translucent....
Happy printing!
